Electric Button Igniter Installation Guide
1. Igniter & Electrode Placement
Position the ignition electrode 1–3 mm from the burner nozzle to ensure a consistent spark gap. Secure the electrode using a ceramic bracket to prevent vibration-induced misalignment. Avoid contact with metal surfaces to prevent short circuits.
2. Wiring with High-Temperature Resistance
Use silicone-insulated wires rated for ≥200°C for all connections between the igniter and power supply. Route cables through heat-resistant sleeves in areas exposed to flames or exhaust. Crimp terminals with ceramic ferrules to withstand thermal expansion.
3. Grounding & Safety
Connect the electrode housing to the equipment ground to eliminate static discharge risks. Verify insulation resistance between the ignition electrode and chassis using a megohmmeter (≥100 MΩ).
4. Testing Protocol
After assembly, apply 12–24V DC to the igniter while monitoring spark intensity. Adjust electrode gap if the arc appears weak or intermittent. Perform a 24-hour thermal cycle test to confirm stability under ±50°C fluctuations.
